It started with a game controller…
My foray into creating nerdy plushies started when I could not keep my young son away from our game controllers. I took a close look at our Xbox controller and decided…I think I can make that! Maybe that will be a distraction from the actual controllers….
Did it work? Absolutely not 😛
But what I did discover was, I could make that!
And since I don’t do anything half way I began to experiment with add-ons, fabric and stuffing types, sewing techniques ect. Yes I managed to nerd out about sewing while sewing nerdy things 🙂
My favorite fandoms are based in video games (Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley among the top), Movies (Star Wars, Studio Ghibli, and Disney), and Books (Howls Moving Castle trilogy, Harry Potter, and anything Pratchett, Regency, or Fantasy)
My crafts have grown from fleece to minky, from a basic machine to an embroidery, Cricut, & serger, and from basic designs to complex patterns of my own and others.
However my favorite part of sewing remains, creating cute items for other’s enjoyment.
I still sew for myself, for my family, and now for people all over the world! I keep learning, growing, and finding new outlets to explore and expand. Thank you for your support!
